Students and Service Animals
The University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to students with disabilities and fulfilling obligations under State and Federal law. Students with disabilities may be accompanied by working service animals on the campus of UMMC, consistent with the provisions of UMMC Policy. Please review the policy that governs the use of service animals on campus by students with disabilities.
Service Animals for Students with Disabilities
Students are encouraged but not required to register service dogs with the Office for Student Success for access to resources, information, and advocacy around a range of disability-related dynamics, including service animals. Registration is required for any student who wishes to use a miniature horse in UMMC facilities.
